In this situation, it is important to remain calm and confident. Start with neutral topics: ask how he is doing, what he has been doing lately. This can help relieve the initial tension and avoid awkwardness.
Try to be friendly and sincere. If the conversation does touch on old conflicts, try to show that you have grown and changed since then. Perhaps you should apologize for the past, if this is appropriate. The main thing is not to give in to provocations and maintain dignity.
If you feel that the situation is becoming too uncomfortable and there is no way to change the course of the conversation, you can always politely say goodbye and end the video call. After all, your communication in a video chat should bring joy, not cause stress.
